Ca’ Betania (532 meters above sea level) is located on the hills above Mercatello sul Metauro – an ancient center of the Metauro Valley in Marche bordering on Tuscany and Umbria, which can be reached in 5 minutes by car or a 20 minute walk.
The historical center of the town keeps the Medieval plan substantially intact, where buildings and churches of the Renaisance and succesive periods can be admired.
The churches contain true masterpieces of art with paintings and sculptures from the XIII century. Suggestive views on narrow streets where you can breathe an atmosphere of geniune hospitality.
Mercatello is located at the center of SS.73 bis that begins in the Tiber Vaalley near Sansepolcro (birth town of Piero della Francesca) and, after climbing the Apennines descends along the Metauro Valley to Urbino (home town of Raffaello). A distance of a little more than 60km. that goes through places of suggestive beauty, certainly known to the two great artists who were inspired by them and left traces of their genius in them. It is that magical and sweet environment of the northern central
Apennines, crossed by the Metauro, whose source is upriver from Ca’Betania and formed by the confluence of the Meta and the Auro, dotted with old towns and grey stone houses. They are admirably integrated in the environment due to the knowledge and respect of the men who built them.

Mercatello has got assigned the orange flag by the italian touring club for the high quality of his environment.
